History

The Polytechnic Campus is situated at distance of 7 KM (approx.) from Rewari (Bus Stand) on Rewari – Jhajjar – Rohtak State Highway. The institute is spread in 25 acres area and flourishing with lush green environment. Institute provides excellent opportunities for studying as well as for personal growth.

Background Note

Govt. Polytechnic, Lisana (Rewari) has been set up from the academic session 2006-07 with two courses viz. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering with sanctioned intake of 40 students in each stream, guest classes at BKN Government Polytechnic, Narnaul.

From Academic Session September 2009-10 the institution has started functioning in its own campus at Lisana.

At present, the institute is running a total of 6 nos. of diploma courses, which are:

• COMPUTER ENGG.
• ELECTRICAL ENGG.
• ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGG.
• MECHANICAL ENGG.
• MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGY

The polytechnic has been functioning under the society mode. The society in the name and style of “Government Polytechnic Education Society Lisana, Rewari” was got registered under Society Act 1860 through District Registrar of Firms & Societies, Rewari on dated 14-07-2006.

GP Lisana(Rewari) is a GOVT. Institute which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and is affiliated to Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE), Panchkula.
